Morning Checklist:

- Guns/Gear/Ammo
- Rain Jacket
We are ready.
On a slow day at work, I looked at the area we go shoot on Google Satellite? It looked like there were many other area that looked suitable for plinking. My buddy was up for it, so we ended up exploring the area little bit that morning.
Climbed up the mountain, scouted few areas.....
Everywhere we went, nice spots..... maybe for camping, but no backstop. Off to one of our regular plinking spots. :(
This campsite looked rundown. Maybe a homeless camp.... or just worndown camping equipment. lol
We have arrived to our #2 spot, high on the mountain. Our SUVs got dirty!
No, bud. We never get cell signal here(he knows that lol).
From the top of the hill that serves as the backstop. My favorite area to go #1.
Used the panorama feature I didn't know my phone had. Kinda neat, but low resolution.
This is the second time I've worn this Mechanix brand gloves. Already threads coming loose. It was little over $20, and I can't say I'm impressed.
Here to shoot mostly .22's again. My buddy's shooting my Ruger SR22.
Me holding the very first firearm I ever bought: Remington 597 .22LR rifle. Definitely do not buy this gun. Avoid Remington altogether if you can. Everybody I know has the Ruger 10/22, and that's the way to go. Probably better build quality(my 597 was a lemon out of the box) + aftermarket support for Remington 597 is non-existent compared to the stuff they have available for the Ruger 10/22. Well, you live & learn amirite.
It does shoot accurately with the Redfield scope. Plastic Remington high-capacity magazine is reliable, but this particular one(I probably have three), I have to wrestle it like I'm fighting the thing just to insert, or yank out of the rifle. Remington was going through bankruptcy? A shocker.
My Burris AR-536 scope got loose again, so I have to sight this thing in once again. This time, I noticed that scope was rattling around while the mount was firmly clamped onto the rail. Culprit were the two screws going into the bottom of the scope from the bottom the mount/base. I wasn't even planning on shooting this one, but I did sight-in the red dot real quick & let my friend shoot up rest of the box I had brought.
Just dumped the .7.62x51(NATO equivalent of .308) into the brick box of Remington Golden Bullet.
Bushmaster MOE 308. Only "working" centerfire rifle I've ever owned. I wish I felt comfortable investing into the AR-15 as well. They seem like so much fun. Unfortunately, with the politicians in Oregon trying to turn this state into next California, I can't throw couple grand down on something that could be banned in just another year or two. Make Oregon Un-California again amirite.
This is Ruger 10/22. I don't particularly care for this style of stock(they have many to choose from), but this rifle is better than mine.
He's now shooting his Chinese SKS. His only centerfire rifle. This very rifle happens to be the very first firearm I've ever fired. He's had this one for while. :) If the rifle looks funny, it's probably because he has some kit that lets you shoot with detachable magazines? He forgot to bring the said magazines, so we had to "single shot", manually loading one round at a time into the chamber. Brilliant. <<<sarcasm
My floormat display target holder is done. We shot some NATO 7.62 & also some 12-gauge out of my buddy's Benelli, and it is really done this time. It had a nice run.
We pride ourselves in cleaning up after ourselves. After we finish shooting, we pick up our trash & other people's trash..... usually. Apparently, we missed some old Blazers bobbleheads pieces from last time. Oops.
Shot some guns, picked up trash, it's time to go.
Big scuff mark on the side of his wife's Ford Explorer. Following week, I asked if he was divorced yet. lol He claims carwash & wax took it all away. Lucky man.
It's not bad in these pictures, but the visibility at times were zero driving behind another car on these roads. I've never been in a dust storm, but it was like that. I had to wait & just follow the dust trail when it got bad. lol
Off the mountain, out of the woods..... Into the stop & go traffic.
Swung by Uwajimaya on the way home for some grub(Japanese/Asian grocery store), and I had to take this picture. Made a quick ran through the carwash later, but these nasty dirt is hard to get off. I have to try hand-washing some other time. :p
